Benjamin Brighte Ackah-Nyamike is a CIMA qualified Banking professional with over 20 years demonstrated success in Stock Brokerage, Financial Analysis and Management.

As General Manager of UMB Stockbrokers Limited, one of the top Brokerage Firms in Ghana, Benjamin leads the execution of the institution’s long term strategic plan as well as develops corporate and operational policies and procedures that guide management in operational decisions and actions. He also oversees the company’s operations to ensure efficiency, high service quality and cost-effective management of resources. With his experience and resilience, he formulated customer retention strategies with an aim to minimize customer attrition levels during the turbulent times in the financial industry.

Benjamin in addition to his exemplary contribution in his current position, has phenomenal skills in deal structuring, negotiation and execution. Due to this he led the Sponsoring Broker Team on the merger of Dannex Ltd, Ayrton Drug Manufacturing Ltd and Starwin Products Ltd to Daspharma Plc.   He also led the Sponsoring Broker Team in the Rights offering by Republic Bank in 2017 to meet the Central Bank Minimum capitalization requirements. He was also a panelist at the Start up Investor Conference sponsored by MBC Africa and the Netherlands Embassy in 2017 and continues to make strides in the Financial Industry.

Prior to this role, Benjamin was the CEO of HFC Brokerage now Republic Bank, where he provided leadership to position the company at the forefront of the industry.  In his time as CEO he developed strategic plans to advance the company’s mission and objectives, through revenue generation, profitability and organizational growth. He also developed and identified opportunities for listing companies, both debt and equity, on the Main official list as well as the Ghana Alternative Market on the Ghana Stock Exchange. 

Benjamin holds an MBA in Finance from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) as well as a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.
